Daeth dros 20 o blant i Barc Hailey i gystadlu yn erbyn Clwb Rygbi’r Eglwys Newydd ddydd Sul diwethaf. Braf oedd gweld cymaint o chwaraewyr ifanc gyda’r rhifau’n cynyddu bob wythnos. Diolch yn fawr i’r rhieni am ein helpu yn y broses recriwtio. Fodd bynnag… daeth 50 o blant i hyfforddi gyda’r tîm dan 6 ddydd Sul diwethaf! Pob lwc Emyr, Catrin a’r hyfforddwyr!

Roedd perfformiad y plant yn galonogol a thrawiadol eto yr wythnos hon. Fel hyfforddwyr rydyn yn ceisio annog y plant i ddilyn yr un sy’n cario’r bêl ac erbyn hyn mae’r chwaraewyr yn dechrau deall y cysyniad a gwelwyd nifer o geisiau da yn cael eu sgorio. Mae’r neges am ddod nôl i sefydlu llinell yn dechrau treiddio trwyddo-clywyd ‘nôl a “back”’ llai na 400 gwaith yr wythnos hon. Ara deg mae aredig!

“Mae hwn llawer gwell na phêl-droed” dywedodd un hyfforddwr ar ddiwedd y gêm! Geiriau doeth yn wir!

Diolch yn fawr i chwaraewyr a rhieni Clwb Rygbi’r Eglwys Newydd am eu rhan yn creu bore da iawn o rygbi ddydd Sul diwethaf.

Ymlaen!

.....................

Over 20 children made the short trip over to Hailey Park on Sunday to a play against an impressive Whitchurch RFC outfit. It really is great to be able to boast such good player numbers, with more coming every week. Massive thanks must be given to you as parents for your continued help in driving recruitment. However......special mention must be given to the 50 (yes 50) children that attended Under 6's training last Sunday! Pob Lwc Emyr, Catrin and coaches!!

It was another very encouraging and impressive showing from the kids this week. As coaches we are always talking to the children about following the ball carrier and it was great to see that this message is really starting to get through resulting in some really nice team tries. In defence the message of getting back into line is starting to get there, i think the words "nol & back" were said by coaches less than 400 times this week so we are definitely getting there.

"This is better than football" were one coaches words at the final whistle. Wise words indeed

Thank you very much to the players & parents of Whitchurch RFC for their part in another very enjoyable Sunday morning.

Ymlaen!
